Job Description:
  • Create analytic reports and dashboards using program data that demonstrate an initiative’s performance and outcomes for the client.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for aggregated data and statistics by querying and analyzing PSI and its implementing partners’ captured program datasets, to inform policy projects.
  • Spearhead the data management of PSI’s knowledge repository on a secured cloud server.
  • Build processes/protocols for data quality assurance, data collation, data coding and analysis.
  • Participate in the scoping discussions with the client and prepare a justified sample size for the assignment.
  • Contribute to the inception phase of an evaluation by assisting the Assignment Managers and Report Writers in the development of Inception Report. This will include supporting in the development of an M&E Frameworks, Evaluation Matrix (EM) and data collection tools; and prepare Data Analysis Plan (DAP) aligned with these tools.
  • Prepare process and guidelines for in-field data management, and templates for data collation (tagging/labelling/nesting); and train the field teams on how to use them.
  • Carry out Data Quality Assurance (DQA) of captured data.
  • Consolidate all qualitative/quantitative/desk review data in the procured data management software and standardize it for analysis and reporting. This will include data interpretation; coding; input; cleaning; and synchronization.
  • Use tools such as STATA, SPSS, R, ECONO, NVivo, MaxQDA, Atlas.ti and others, for Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis.
  • Build data visualizations and performance management dashboards Analyze data to work towards optimization of technology development and marketing data where required.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to contribute to driving .optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Ensure timely data submission by IPs and analysis on the data sets for improved programmatic decision making.
  • Support the Senior Manager RMEL wherever required for the project.
  • Any other work- related task assigned by the supervisor.
What are we looking for?
  • Relevant Master’s degree in statistics, math, computer science, economics, or any related field.
  • Ideally 3 to 5 years of experience in analyzing complex data sets and building statistical models with an ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proficiency in statistical tools/language like SPSS, STATA, SAS, SQL, Python and the relevant software will be preferred.
  • Familiarity and experience with Power BI are preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of advanced statistical software and techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, T-tests and proper usage, etc.).
  • Experience in public health or working for a development/aid agency is a plus.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
